Texans coach Bill O’Brien will wait until later in the week to determine if Andre Johnson will play versus the Denver Broncos on Saturday.
But Johnson did increase his activity at practice on Tuesday, during the first of three joint practices between the Texans and Broncos.
“They practiced more than they had and it’s a good sign for our football team,” O’Brien said.
“I’m feeling pretty good. Like I said before, I am getting better day-by-day. The whole thing is not to have any setbacks,” Johnson told HoustonTexans.com after practice on Tuesday. “I continue to keep doing what I am doing and I’m sure in time, I will be doing more and more.”
On seeing his first preseason action on Saturday Johnson stated, “You would like to be out there, but at the same time we are just taking day-by-day. As the week goes on we will see what happens.”
